Indiana Jones & Memorial Day.

This was a pretty good Memorial Day weekend. On Friday, I did some reading and watched TV. I also checked out this CD-ROM training disk on building websites.

On Saturday, I got together with Harry and Liz to see the new Indiana Jones movie. This proved to be challenging. First, we tried to see an early, cheaper showing, but we arrived at the AMC Theaters late. They were still selling tickets for the show, but the theater itself was packed. We couldn't find three seats together, so we went out and got our money refunded. Later that day, we tried a different theater arrived in plenty of time to get a good spot in line. We managed to get great seats and enjoyed the movie.

Also on Saturday, I did laundry and watched a rerun of "Spectacular Spider-Man" that I had taped during our first attempt to see Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. While I was out with Harry and Liz, we ate at a barb-b-q place called Famous Dave's for dinner before the movie.

On Sunday, Diana and I got together with Sally's friends for an outdoor birthday party. I watched in amusement (and occasionally horror) as Sally's baby daughter sucked on a small set of fingernail clippers her mother had been using to trim her nails. Later, I took a huge nap and started watching my tape of Moonraker (an old James Bond movie).

On Memorial Day, I got together with Diana, Norman, Gwen, Cosmo, Wanda, and some relatives for burgers, hot dogs, and chips. Norman and Gwen has some fun with our cousins' young children. We got to see this quarry/lake where people are trained in scuba diving. I did a lot of reading on the way back and dozed off in the car for a bit.

Graduation, Narnia.

Well, this was a pretty full weekend for me. I had Friday off of work, so Diana, Gwen, and I went down to Missouri to watch Gwen graduate from college. Cosmo and Wanda were already there, and I took a lot of pictures during the graduation on Saturday. I got a little sunburned due to the ceremony being outdoors. Saturday afternoon, we made our way back to Nebraska.

Last night and earlier today, I did the laundry. Last night, I watched the newest episode of "Spectacular Spider-Man" (which I taped since I wasn't able to watch it when it was on). This afternoon, Harry and Liz picked me up. We went to see The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian. It was good, though I was sure that added more to this one than the last movie.....

Dark Kingdom, Mother's Day.

Things were a lot different this weekend compared with last weekend. On Friday night, I started watching my copy of Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer. On Saturday, I got together with Harry, and we played "Dark Kingdom." We made our way through Galen and the City Slums, then entered the Grinder. We ate out with Liz for lunch and dinner. On Sunday, Cosmo, Wanda, and Gwen came over for Mother's Day. Later, I watched more of Rise of the Silver Surfer.

Wedding Weekend.

Gwen married Norman this past weekend. I had Thursday off of work so I could spend time with various relatives coming into town. I went to the rehearsal and the dinner following it, even though I wasn't the groom or one of the groomsmen.

Friday was the day off the wedding. My role in the wedding was the gift table guy (along with Timmy). Diana was an attendant, and Clark videotaped the event. Trixie was one of the people at the guestbook table. Right before the wedding, I helped load up the gifts so they could be transported to the reception. I took several pictures from the back of the church (I was supposed to be closer to the front, but I couldn't see any seats available in that area). At the reception, I spent time talking with my relatives and taking lots of pictures.

Saturday, I had brunch with Clark. We went with Diana to the gift opening and played Wii Bowling with Norman. Afterwards, we (Clark, Diana, and I) got together with Timmy and Trixie and ate at a buffalo wings restaurant. Later, we visited Norman and Gwen at their new apartment.

Sunday, Clark, Timmy, and Trixie flew to their homes while the new couple flew to their honeymoon. I had lunch, then Harry picked me up and took me to his home. I watched him play the new Iron Man game, then I played "LEGO Star Wars: the Complete Saga" while he and Liz went to a family activity. After they got back, we went out and saw Iron Man at the local AMC Theater.

Today, I had the day off of work. I slept in a little, then watched TV for awhile. I did some editing work with my pictures and finished the laundry left over from when I started doing laundry on Sunday.
