Thanksgiving Weekend.

Aside from not seeing Betty on Friday (I think she was on vacation), I had a pretty good weekend. I got to leave work with many of my coworkers almost an hour early on Friday.

Saturday, Harry and I went out for lunch and a movie. We ate at Valentino's (a place we both like, but Liz doesn't), then went to see Quantum of Sollace. It was better than we both expected, though I still think the Bronson, Moore, and Connery (not sure if I spelled that right) Bond movies are better than the two movies with Craig.

Today, Diana and I visited Cosmo and Wanda. We had lunch with them and Gwen, then I spent some time with Cosmo and some time watching TV when Gwen and Wanda made cookies. Cosmo had a spare TV at his place that he let me trade my bedroom TV for. My old TV worked fine, but it didn't have outlets in the back for my PS2 or for a DVD player. To repay him, I am hoping to get him a converter box for Christmas so he can use my old TV. I played "Rampage: Total Destruction" in my room to test out the new (to me it's new) TV, and it worked great. I played as Lizzie, Leon, and as Kingston (a giant mutant cobra-man).

Thanksgiving and an idea.

On Sunday, Harry, Liz, and I went to see Bolt in 3-D at a new theater in town. I haven't seen Betty since last Friday, but I did e-mail her yesterday to wish her a happy Thanksgiving.

Speaking of Thanksgiving, I have had a pretty good one. Norman, Gwen, Diana, and I met with Cosmo and Wanda at a relative's house in Northern Iowa. We couldn't stay long (Norman and Gwen had plans with other relatives), but it was nice seeing people I only get to see around the holidays. I had double helpings of turkey, ham, scalloped potatoes, and rolls. I also had some pumpkin cheesecake and apple pie for lunch. When I got back to the townhouse, I worked some more on this project I have been working on all this month and ate the rest of the leftover macaroni and cheese I had made a few days ago.

This past month, I have been pondering an idea to make my blog more interesting. I am thinking about writing some brief segments of fantasies of mine about space travel, fantasies inspired by the original "Star Trek" series and movies. It could be an interesting and fun experience.

Friday and Saturday.

Yesterday, I got a brief glimpse of Betty heading for the restrooms. I waved at her, and she saw me and waved back. Last night, I watched the second episode of "Batman: the Brave and the Bold."

Today, I did laundry. I also watched the rest of Terminator 2: Judgement Day (Extended Version). I had started watching it earlier in the week. I also played "Rampage: Total Destruction." I decided to try some monsters I hadn't spend much time as. I started out as Lizzie (the Godzilla-like dinosaur), then changed to other monsters I unlocked during the game. I unlocked Leon (a giant lion) first, so I switched to him right before picking a new city to trash. Later, I unlocked Rojo (a giant bull). I decided I was bored with Leon, so I switch to Rojo. He was okay, but I think Lizzie is my favorite of these three. After that, Diana and I checked out a warehouse store near us.

Tomorrow, I am hoping to get together with Harry and Liz to see Bolt.

Lunch with Betty.

I got a pleasant surprise at lunch today: Betty was eating lunch in the break room! I was wowed for a moment (I hadn't seen her since Monday), then I asked if I could sit by her. She agreed, and we talked briefly. She told me she didn't normally have lunch there because the room was usually crowded at the time she takes her lunch. Today, there were only a few other people in the room, and they were sitting at the other table. We sat next to each other for about half of my lunch break before she left to get back to work. I read the book I brought for awhile after that, then I left the break room happy for the experience.....

Talking with Betty.

Today, I was pleasantly surprised to see and talk with Betty. Here's how it went down: some guys making modifications to the building I work in tripped the fire alarm. This was early in the morning, so I grabbed my coat and headed outside. While waiting in the parking lot to get the "all clear" (since I could see that the building wasn't actually on fire), I spotted Betty about to head into work. I waved at her, and she headed over to me.

Me: "Morning."
Betty: "Why is everyone outside?"
Me: "Fire alarm."

Betty asked me about my weekend, then we noticed people moving back toward the building. We went back inside, and she got ahead of me (we have some turnstiles in our entrance, and I got stuck behind someone). I saw her again seconds later, but this time I was ahead of her as I climbed the stairs back to our floor.

Batman and Rampage.

I had one more Betty sighting last week (besides the Monday sightings): I saw her heading for her car on Friday afternoon at the end of her shift. I don't think she saw me, since I was still inside the building when I saw her and not on the ground floor. I am still trying to decide if I should tell her how I feel about her or not.

On Saturday, I got together with Harry and played more "LEGO Batman." We did pretty well against Catwoman, but had some troubles while using the boats and in the sewer chasing Killer Croc. We did some Free Play in the level where we had captured Clayface, which allowed me to play as Batman. Back at the townhouse, I did some laundry and watched most of "Lilo and Stitch."

Today, I finished watching "Lilo and Stitch." I played "Rampage: Total Destruction." I played as Natalie (giant nautilus) in San Fransisco and as Gilman (mutated blow fish) in London. I think I like Natalie better, even though she doesn't have the humanoid grace of some of the other monsters (like George, Lizzie, Marco, and Shelby).

The weekend, chatting with Betty.

I had a nice weekend, even though I didn't end up getting together with Harry and Liz. I read the rest of Robot Dreams and did my laundry. I watched some stuff on TV and did some ironing.

Yesterday, I played "Rampage: Total Destruction" with Gwen. She played as Kyle (a giant cyclops) and later as Lizzie (a giant Godzilla-like lizard). I played as Shelby (giant mutant turtle), then as Marco (giant mutant shark-man), and finally as Natalie (giant mutant nautilus) after Gwen was done playing. She seemed to enjoy the game as much as I did.

Today, after not getting any definite glimpses of Betty all last week, I finally saw her a few times today. We had a benefits meeting at work today, and she asked if she could sit by me. We talked before the meeting, then said "see ya" afterwards when we parted ways outside the stairs on our floor. I saw her again at lunch (she was passing through to get something), and I saw her through the window from a long ways away this afternoon.

Halloween, rest of the weekend.

I had a pretty good time with Harry and Liz on Halloween. We had lunch, then ran errands. At their house, I helped them decorate and fill this big plastic cauldron with candy (as pictured above). I played "LEGO Batman" with Harry (with me as Robin still). We finished the first episode (I think Harry said there are 3 episodes), fighting with Poison Ivy, Two-Face, and the Riddler. I had some pizza for dinner, but it didn't agree with me. I went home and was in bed by 9:30pm or so (pretty early for a Friday night for me).

Yesterday and today, I played around with "Rampage: Total Destruction." I tried out different monsters, including Lizzie (a giant, bi-pedal lizard), Marco (a giant shark-man) and Jill (a giant jellyfish). I think I'm getting the hang of it.

Besides that, I kept busy. I read more of Robot Dreams. I did laundry and ironed a number of shirts for work. I watched my DVD copy of The League of Extraordinary Gentleman.
