Well, I played more "LEGO Star Wars II" on Friday night. I got to be Luke as he flies to Bespin and faces off with some Stormtroopers and Darth Vader. I was impressed by how close it was to the actual The Empire Strikes Back movie, even depicting Vader cutting off Luke's hand in the cutscene, then Luke dropping off the machinery to escape Vader after Vader tells Luke that he's Luke's father.....
On Saturday, I went out with Harry and Liz and saw Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer. It had some surprises (I had thought Doom would only make a brief appearance in the film, but he was a key part of the story), and a lot of great special effects. Later that day, Diana and I paid a visit to my folks to celebrate Father's Day a little early since they were planning to do some travelling on Sunday.
On Sunday, I napped for awhile. Later, I watched the second part of the season finale of the first season of the new "Doctor Who." I found it very touching, and nearly shed some tears on a few occasions. There's something to be said for a man who willingly risks his life to save others, even taking extraordinary measures to keep those he loves from dying with him. And one can't ignore a young woman so changed by her time with an extraordinary man that she risks her own life and says "no" to an ordinary existance to try to save that man from death.
