Well, I haven't seen Betty in over a week. I know from the company's phone net work that she has been on vacation since last Monday (the day after my last entry). Hopefully, she will be more talkative to me the next time I see her.
I have tomorrow off of work. I don't have any medical appointments or family events going on, I just wanted to take a day off in March to maintain my streak of having at least one weekday off of work every month. Fortunately, I don't always have to ask for a day off each month since we have days off for New Year's, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. I think my streak (at least one weekday off every month) started in July 2007 or so, and I'd like to keep it going.
The weekend has been going pretty well. I got together with Cosmo and Norman on Friday night for dinner at a Mexican restaurant. Yesterday, I got together with Harry and Liz and saw Race to Witch Mountain. It was pretty good, and it had lots of funny parts in it. We ran some errands, and I gave Liz her birthday gift. I also got the last book in the "Star Trek: Invasion" series (there are four books, one for the original series and one each for "Next Generation," "Deep Space Nine," and "Voyager") in the mail. Today, I used a gift certificate I got using credit card reward points to buy a book that I hope will help me start an online retail business. And now, "David Trek" :
Personal log, 210903.22--We arrived at the Southern Pinwheel Galaxy last night. I have decided to add two extra Leaps to this visit so we can study more than one star in this region of space. Currently, we are scanning a red giant star on the edge of the galaxy. Later on, we will Leap to a white dwarf further in. I think we will probably add some more Leaps for the next galaxy on our itinerary.
